Brake Parts Inc. (BPI) has hired Jack Cameron as national sales manager for commercial vehicle.
In his new role, Cameron will lead the company’s sales efforts in the heavy duty and fleet aftermarket.
“As an industry veteran with over 30 years of experience in the automotive aftermarket, we are pleased to welcome Jack to the Brake Parts Inc team,” said Brian Kirts, vice president of sales for BPI. “His previous positions have given him a broad knowledge base that will be very beneficial as Brake Parts Inc continues to grow and increase share in the commercial vehicle marketplace.”
Prior to joining BPI, Cameron worked in a commercial business development role at Genuine Parts Co. He started his aftermarket career in 1983 in a sales role at Federal-Mogul and went on to work as vice president of marketing for Dorman Products, director of sales and marketing for Ken-Tool and general manager for The Timken Corp.
In 2007, Cameron joined the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) and served as vice president, programs and services as well as executive director of the Brake Manufacturers Council.
He has also served on the board of governors of AASA and the Automotive Sales Council and has been an officer of the Manufacturers Advisory Council of AWDA.
Additionally, Cameron holds an ASE certification as a parts specialist and earned a Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP) designation and a Northwood Automotive Aftermarket Management Education Award.
