ASA Automotive Systems announced upcoming improvements to its software systems and is displaying three next generation technology modules at its booth (#40003) at this week’s Global Tire Expo/SEMA Show.
According to Ken Halle, president of ASA Automotive systems, ASA is developing software with a significant investment in JAVA-based technologies, and the company plans to move forward with a complete rewrite of its TireMaster family of products to web-based applications running in the cloud for all mobile devices, including tablets, PCs, laptops and smartphones.
He said no other software provider will have a point-of-sale solution as powerful as ASA that’s web-based, has a tire-specific integrated accounting system, and is scalable to any size operation. “ASA is investing in the newest technology to drive applications that improve profitability for dealers, and with our next generation of innovation, ASA will help dealers revolutionize the way they use the web and mobile devices,” he said.
On display are three modules a new scheduler, a mobile warehouse quick order entry system, and general ledger which already have been completed as part of this new technology rewrite.
With the look and feel of an Outlook type calendar, including color coding and drag and drop capabilities, ASA’s Scheduler allows dealers to book appointments from a work order or the calendar, view appointments by date, location, bay, technician and other user defined resources, as well as email service reminders. Phase 2 of Scheduler will allow customers to book appointments directly online.
The Mobile Warehouse Order Entry module, designed for speed, empowers remote salespeople with the ability to quickly and easily search inventory and order tires online, as well as capture signatures electronically, according to ASA.
The General Ledger is the first accounting module that’s been rewritten with full integration to TireMaster family of products. The company said it is web-based and incorporates new functionality with enhanced drill down and reporting capabilities.
ASA representatives are on-hand during the show to provide live iPad demonstrations of the three technology modules.
