Dubai-based Zafco recently tested the new ZT1000 pattern under its Zeetex brand against top-tier Korean and Taiwanese brands at the IDIADA testing facility in Spain.

With a rating scale of 10 as exceptional, 9 as excellent, 8 as very good, 7 as good, 6 as acceptable, 5 as poor, 4 as objection, and 1-3 as safety risk or failure, the company reported the following results for its ZT1000 and “two other well-known brands of tires, one from Korea and another from Taiwan.”
Aquaplaning (Longitudinal and Lateral): In the lateral test, the ZT1000 got a 7.5 rating against the Taiwanese brand’s 6.8, and in the longitudinal test, it got a rating of 6.8 against the Taiwanese brand’s 6.5.
Braking distance in dry asphalt: The ZT1000 got a rating of 7.2 against 7.0 of the Taiwanese brand.
Straight line driving: ZT1000 performed at par with its Korean &and Taiwanese counterparts; all three got a rating of 7.9.
Steering Performance: ZT1000 got a 7.7 rating against the Korean brand’s 7.6.
Ride Comfort: ZT1000 performed at par with the Taiwanese brand, both with a rating of 7.8.
Rolling Noise: ZT1000 got a rating of 7.7, against the Taiwanese brand’s 6.9.
Estimated Tire life: ZT1000’s 7.5 rating outperformed the Korean brand’s 7.2 score.
