Falken Tire is debuting two new tires at its SEMA Show/Global Tire Expo booth: the Azenis FK453, the company’s most advanced UHP tire to date, and the WildPeak H/T, a dedicated highway, all-season M+S rated tire.
The Azenis FK453, which will become the new Falken flagship, targets sports cars and ultra-luxury coupes and sedans. Available in a wide array of sizes from 16- to 22-inch diameters, the tire delivers advances in control and grip with significant improvements in handling and reductions in road noise, according to the tiremaker.
“The FK453 brings ultra high performance to a new level,” said Andrew Hoit, Falken’s vice president of marketing. “We have incorporated advanced technology, the competitive personality of motorsports and the legacy of the FK453’s predecessors to create a benchmark of maximum performance for the street.”
The FK453 will be available nationally in March 2012.
The WildPeak H/T offers a combination of “exceptional dry handling and ultra-responsive wet braking on multiple roadway surfaces,” the company said. The Wildpeak is coupled with Falken’s specially designed tread pattern, and optimizes traction, control, and durability.
The WildPeak H/T offers a 60,000-mile limited warranty from a tread pattern designed to provide a smooth, solid, stable ride in every season, Falken added. The symmetric, non-directional five-rib tread design features a rigid block, provides optimal handling, firmness and comfort on the road, and allows for an optimal cross rotational maintenance approach to prolong tire life.
The WildPeak H/T will be available nationally in early 2012.
Also at the show, Falken announced it will roll out its associated dealer program in the second quarter of 2012. The program will be open to Falken dealers of all sizes and will feature a website, point of sale support, rebate support and much more, Hoit said.
“The program will not just be focused on large dealers and wholesalers,” he added. “We want to offer these benefits to all out dealers, including small retailers.”
To qualify, dealers just need to purchase any number of Falken tires from a Falken distributor. More details about the program will be released early next year.
