Live at SEMA: TIA Releases 2011 TPMS Relearn Chart

The newest version of the Tire Industry Association’s TPMS Relearn Chart, which includes domestic and import vehicles through model year 2011, is now available. The chart serves as a valuable, comprehensive and quick reference guide that technicians can easily navigate to service most vehicles equipped with TPMS, TIA said.

The chart is divided into domestic and import vehicle sections and includes the type of TPMS, relearn summaries, OEM sensor part number, and replacement sensor and service pack part numbers for Schrader, Dill, Myers Tire Supply, 31 Inc. Xtra-Seal, Napa and Orange Electronics. It also lists the torque specs for the sensor nut, torx bolt, worm gear and vehicle lug nuts. New to the chart this year is a picture reference guide to help identify the most common programmable and multi-format replacement sensors on the market.

"TIA recognized the need for a TPMS quick reference guide years ago and this latest version is another reason why we are the industry leader in technician education," said Larry Brandt, TIA president. "With the addition of the programmable and multi-format replacement sensor information, our members are even more prepared to service late model domestic and import vehicles with this valuable tire pressure monitoring technology."

TIA has samples of the new chart at its SEMA Show/Global Tire Expo booth, #40049, and will be accepting orders that will be shipped after the event.

Ascot Supply Corporation, based in Newnan, Georgia, has selected Mark Paquette for the newly created position of vice president. In this position, Ascot Supply said Paquette will oversee the growth of the company's products, corporate profitability, manage marketing and advertising and assume many other responsibilities.

He will work under the direction of current President David Kessler and officially begin his new role on June 3. Paquette joined the tire and automotive industry in the early 1980s at his father's tire shop, and his contributions to Mohawk Rubber Sales were instrumental in the company's growth and eventual sale to Myers Tire Supply in 2021, according to Ascot Supply. Paquette eventually was given a promotion to the role of director of operations at Myers Tire Supply.
