At its 2011 dealer conference, held last week in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Hankook Tire America Corp. said it will introduce three new consumer products this year – the enfren eco, Dynapro HT and Optimo H426.
The enfren eco, which will be rolled out in the second half of the year in five initial sizes, is a rolling-resistance-optimized tire for hybrid and fuel-efficient vehicles. It features a high-silica-content synthetic rubber tread compound for reduced rolling resistance, according to Hankook. Initially, the enfren eco will be available in one 16-inch size and four 15-inch sizes.
The Dynapro HT, which will replace the Dynapro AS, is an all-season performance tire for light trucks, vans and SUVs. The HT offers improved snow traction, longer treadwear and lower rolling resistance than its predecessor. Also available in the second half of 2011, the HT will be offered in 21 P-metric and 10 LT sizes, ranging from 16- to 18-inch rim diameters.
Hankook said the new Optimo H426, an all-season grand touring performance tire, has been an OE fitment for the last two years, but now will be available in 28 popular replacement sizes ranging from 14- to 18-inch rim diameters. The Optimo H426 will be introduced in the second quarter.
Hankook also has expanded sizes of its Ventus V2 concept all-season high-performance tire, introduced at last year’s Global Tire Expo/SEMA Show. The tire is now available in 22 sizes.
