Federal Tire Corp. has debuted its new video portal on YouTube.com.
The tiremaker has produced a series of videos that have been placed on the site, which it said will reach a global audience.
“Utilizing the social media communication approach as a premier platform for the distribution of our high quality, fully featured footage of events in all forms of motorsports, we are excited about providing a place where performance enthusiasts, racing aficionados, customers and friends can connect online and develop a unique Federal community,” the company said.
Federal said the YouTube placements are part of its new marketing emphasis on the Internet and through social media. “We are enthusiastic about conveying the essence of Federal brand. Our customized and innovative campaigns are essential in stamping on brand’s presence in an increasingly competitive and crowded Web space,” the company said.
In addition to the video, Federal said it will run an integrated electronic advertising campaign “with major media outlets to promote our video series by embedding them via banner ads, weekly e-newsletters, and on pages of our official Web site as an effective branding tool to generate more views of the films.”
