Athletes, officials, members of the Olympic committee and VIPs rode on Kumho I’Zen XW KW17 snow tyres as they were transferred between competition sites.
For Kumho, involvement in the Torino Winter Olympics was extremely important. The current world number 11 tyre manufacturer says it intends to reach eighth place by 2009 and to be fifth by 2015. Therefore, Kumho says it is focusing on high-end marketing opportunities like the Olympics in order to present itself as a “strategic, innovative and marketing-oriented partner for the international automotive industry.”
