Max Power Returns to the NEC

(Clacton, U.K./Tyres & Accessories) Max Power Live, the UK’s biggest modified motor show, will be returning to Birmingham for its eighth consecutive year from Friday 30 June through to Sunday 2 July 2006.

The number-one custom car event, a collaboration between Haymarket Exhibitions and Emap Automotive, will fill 500,000 square feet of the National Exhibition Centre this summer.

The organisers of this year’s Max Power Live are expecting to entertain more than 50,000 car enthusiasts as they descend upon the NEC to catch a glimpse of the latest in tuning, styling, drifting performances and ‘In Car Entertainment’ (ICE).

Rob Debenham, Group Event Presenter of Haymarket Exhibitions Ltd said: “We are now hosting our 8th annual Max Power Live in collaboration with Emap, and the show continues to gain momentum. This is testimony to the exhibitors and brands that we work closely with at the event, to ensure that our visitors are never disappointed with the new and exciting experiences we create year after year”.

Last year, the event proved a massive success for exhibitors and sponsors with over 45,000 visitors spending a total of £6.6 million across the three days of the show. Research undertaken at Max Power Live 2005 revealed that 71 per cent of the visitors would definitely be back and agreed that all their future purchases were directly influenced by what they saw at the show. This year sponsors include Falken, Vauxhall, WKD, LG and Blaupunkt.

Debs Carter of WKD commented: “There is no other event that allows us to showcase our product and come face to face with an 18-30 year old male audience with such accuracy. The nature of the show enables us to communicate the brand’s personality to the consumer and in 2005 we were impressed to see over 35,000 attendees actually visit our stand.”
