TireWare Adds New VP of Sales

(Akron/Tire Review) TireWare Inc., a provider of business software for the tire and automotive industries, has appointed Walter G. Buettner vice president of sales.

Buettner will manage sales, new business, client and customer service and brings more than 30 years of industry expertise to the newly created position. He will develop strategic plans for expanding TireWare’s sales activities and oversee a growing sales force.

Buettner spent five years at Treadways Corp. as eastern regional sales manager, responsible for the Eldorado tire brand and other supplemental brands, including Sumitomo. He also held sales leadership positions at Continental/General Tire Co. for five years.

“TireWare has seen rapid growth in 2006 and we are excited to add more experience to the management team with Walt’s addition,” said Tully Ryan, president and CEO of TireWare. “His extensive background and knowledge of the tire industry will continue to strengthen our solution, service and support which will enable us to further grow TireWare’s customer base."
