Kumho Launches Race Sweepstakes

(Akron/Tire Review) Want to go to a cool race? The winner of Kumho Tire USA’s new ALMS Speed-Rated Sweepstakes will get a trip for two to the 2008 ALMS Monterey Sports Car Challenge at Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca, including airfare and hotel for two and $600 in spending cash.

The sweepstakes opened Apr. 1 and runs through Dec. 31. No purchase is necessary, and consumers can get entry forms at any participating Kumho dealer, at the Kumho trailer at ALMSrraces or online at www.kumhotireusa.com.

Ten first-prize winners will receive a set of Kumho tires; 25 second-prize winners will receive an iPod Shuffle; and 500 third-prize winners will receive a Kumho travel bag.

“The ALMS Speed-Rated Sweepstakes is intended to promote Kumho’s motorsport activities in the American Le Mans Series,” said Mike Leverington, Kumho’s director of marketing. “The sweepstakes also helps create excitement about the American Le Mans Series at thousands of Kumho dealerships across the country. Our dealers – and their customers – like that we participate at the highest levels of professional motorsports because it helps create trust in the Kumho brand.”
