Maine has just eight ASE Certified World Class Technicians and Kenny Bridges is one of them.

Bridges has been working as a technician since 2002. In 2011, he joined VIP Tires & Service where he now works as service manger.

It took Bridges three years to successfully obtain ASE certifications in 22 specialty areas to become a World Class Technician, an accomplishment he credits to his company.

“It’s a great privilege to have to opportunity to work for a company like VIP Tires & Service that takes ownership in their employees growth within the company…. We were all sitting in a meeting and they were talking about the World Class Techs that were in Maine. That day I decided that it was going to be a goal of mine to become one,” he shares.

Bridges has always had a love for cars, but it was his experience building his first motor for his Sport 4 Class racecar that he knew his goals moving forward would be based in the automotive field.

Today Bridges continues to enjoy what he does and the people he helps.

“I love being able to help the customer get the most out of their vehicles,” he says.

When asked about the best advice he’s received, his response completely supports his accomplished goal to become a top-tier technician: “Don’t get stressed out. A car is only nuts and bolts. Don’t let it beat you.”

Fun Fact: In his spare time, Bridges enjoys building racecars.
