Pirelli Unveils Next Generation P Zero to N.A. Market

pirelli_p_zero_gt_13-rsAfter a successful global launch in Estoril, Portugal, this April, Pirelli launched the new P Zero locally to North American dealers and press in Las Vegas ahead of the 2016 SEMA Show.

P Zero has achieved a rich heritage and over 1,000 homologations since its introduction 30 years ago. Pirelli announced the new P Zero is available in three variants tailor-made for specific cars, applications and performance levels: P Zero for luxury sedans; P Zero for sports cars; and P Zero Corsa, a motorsport slick-like tire with an aggressive tread design.

P Zero features F1 bead technology derived from racing to enhance vehicle control; an extended range profile to provide more even wear and performance; tread pattern modifications allowing a 10% increase in water expulsion capacity and noise reduction; and a 15% reduction in rolling resistance.

Media and dealers experienced first-hand the P Zero product range benefits at Dream Racing, a five-star Pirelli-sponsored driving experience at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Different track set-ups showcased the grip, handling and performance of the new product on a lineup of OEM manufacturer cars, including the Ferrari 488, Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo, Lamborghini Super Veloce, Mercedes AMG GT and Pagani Huayra.
