Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has teamed up with NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick to remind consumers the importance of proper tire maintenance.
With Memorial Day weekend approaching, and National Tire Safety Week set for May 29-June 4, Goodyear, Harvick and the pit crew delivered free tread depth checks at a mall in North Carolina.
“I trust Goodyear’s tires and expertise,” Harvick said. “Goodyear gains a substantial amount of knowledge producing tires for the grueling conditions we face on the track and they continue to apply that knowledge to consumer tires in innovative ways.”
Tire tread depth is a key indicator of a tire’s potential performance and consumers should monitor their tread depth on a consistent basis, Goodyear said.
