Michelin North Americas launched the new SmartWay-verified Michelin X Multi Energy D Pre-Mold retread for regional and super-regional applications.
The X Multi Energy D retread complements the previously launched X Multi Energy D drive tire and features long mileage, excellent fuel efficiency, scrub resistance in regional applications and Michelin’s inter-locking Matrix Siping for great traction and even wear, the tiremaker said.
Made from a dual energy compound, the retread’s top layer provides exceptional removal mileage and the bottom layer allows the tread to run cool to minimize internal casing temperatures for low rolling resistance and extended casing life, Michelin said.
Michelin said it also guarantees the retread will have 25% longer tread life than competitors and is guaranteed for a second retread on a Michelin casing.
The retread has a 21/32″ tread depth and is available in three tread widths: 220, 230 and 240.
