TBC Appoints Birkins to Oversee Franchise Operations

TBC Corp. has hired Bill Birkins as senior vice president of franchise leadership.

With more than 32 years of experience in leading and growing a diverse portfolio of businesses in retail and consumer brands and products, Birkins will oversee the day-to-day operations of TBC’s three franchise organizations: Big O Tires, Midas, and SpeeDee Oil Change and Auto Service. Birkins will report directly to Brant Wilson, senior vice president of TBC’s Franchise Group.

“As TBC’s franchise operations continue to grow, we are excited to welcome Bill into this newly developed role,” said Wilson. “His leadership skills and experience will assist all three of our franchise organizations as we work to increase brand awareness and strive to exceed the expectations of our customers.”

Birkins joins TBC from H&R Block, where he was the vice president of operations and managing director leading the organization’s operations throughout the Southeastern U.S. and Puerto Rico. Prior to that, Birkins was an executive at Hallmark Cards, with a focus on new business development and licensing. He began his career with General Electric Co. where, for 16 years, he interacted extensively with the appliance dealer network in roles of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing and product management.
