Conti Income, Sales Up YoY

Continental AG posted higher net income and higher net sales for 2014 than it did in 2013. The company posted a net income of roughly 2.4 billion euros and net sales of 34.5 billion euros in 2014, compared to an income of 1.9 billion euros and sales of 33.3 billion euros in 2013.

Net sales for the automotive segment was 20.9 billion euros in 2014 compared to 20.0 billion in 2013. While sales in Conti’s rubber group was 13.6 billion euros in 2014 compared to 13.3 billion in 2013.

Continental’s tire division posted 9.8 billion in net sales for 2014 up 2.1% from 2013.

“The driving force behind the sales development once again came from China and North America,” said Elmar Degenhart, chairman of Continental AG.

For fiscal 2015, Continental AG aims to achieve a rise in total sales of almost 9% to 37.5 billion euros. Its sales target for fiscal 2020 is more than $50 billion euros.
