Former LSU Coach to Keynote at LITDA Convention

Louisiana Independent Tire Dealers Association (LITDA)J. Stanley “Skip” Bertman, former baseball coach and athletic director at Louisiana State University, will speak at the Louisiana Independent Tire Dealers Association (LITDA) 2015 Trends & Treads Annual Convention and Tradeshow.

Bertman began coaching at LSU in 1984. In his 18 seasons as head coach, he led the team to 16 NCAA Tournament appearances, 11 College World Series appearances, seven SEC Championships and five NCAA Baseball National Championships. Bertman was inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame in June 2002 and the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in January 2003.

The LITDA Annual Convention & Tradeshow offers tire professionals opportunities for networking, professional development and entertainment, LITDA said. In addition to Bertman’s presentation, the convention features an industry roundtable, tradeshow, golf tournament, guest program and the 2015 Hall of Fame Induction and Tailgate Reception.

The convention is scheduled for March 5 -7 at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center in Baton Rouge, La. Registration is $195 for members and new members joining the association, and $150 for guests or spouses. For information, visit www.litda.org.
