Certain Goodyear dealers in the Midwest woke up on Dec. 8 with a new distribution partner as it was learned that U.S. AutoForce has purchased seven distribution centers from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.
Terms and timing of the deal were not announced. A Goodyear spokesman stressed that the sale “is part of our aligned distribution strategy” and that “there are no plans to divest the company of all of the company owned WD centers.”
The seven distribution centers now owned are spread across several Midwestern states, Goodyear said.
Based in Combined Locks, Wis., U.S. AutoForce carries some 12 tire brands with dealer customers across Wisconsin, Illinois, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota and parts of Michigan and Indiana.
