Big O Tires franchisees Kory and Kent Coleman of Salt Lake City, Utah, were honored recently by the International Franchise Association with its annual Franchisee of the Year Award.

The pair received the award at IFA’s 15th Annual Public Affairs Conference, as the association recognized franchise owner-operators for outstanding performance and contributions that enhance the growth and development of franchising.

“The entire Big O Tires network is extremely proud of Kory and Kent, not only for receiving the honor of Franchisee of the Year Award, but also for all of the work they do throughout the year in their local community and for our Big O customers,” said Brant Wilson, senior vice president of franchise for Big O.

In 2006, Kory Coleman and his younger brother, Kent, bought their first Big O Tires store in Murray, Utah. Shortly thereafter, they purchased an additional location in Salt Lake City, and have since added two stores in Ogden, Utah. Kory provides financial guidance and operational expertise to their Big O Tires business while Kent oversees the accounting and marketing, and works with key people to manage the day-to-day operations of the stores.
