For the second consecutive year, Hankook Tire has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index (DJSI Asia Pacific).
“Hankook Tire’s inclusion in the DJSI Asia Pacific once again confirmed our lofty status in Asia in sustainable management terms,” said Seung Hwa Suh, vice chairman and CEO of Hankook Tire. “Based on our full commitment to and achievement in creating environmental and social values as well as economic outcomes, we will further deepen our stakeholder engagement and fulfillment of corporate social responsibility in accordance with our integrated CSR management system.”
The DJSI Asia Pacific reviews companies based on long-term economic, environmental and social criteria. Hankook is represented as one of the top 148 companies of the approximate 600 largest corporations in the Asia Pacific region, according to the index.
In the index, Hankook obtained high scores in core components of corporate sustainability such as climate change strategy, talent attraction and retention, ethics management and environmental management.
Hankook has made the Dow Jones Sustainability for Korea since 2011 and the Asia Pacific index since 2013.
