Thieves cut open the back gate of a Weisenberg Township, Pa., truck dealer last weekend, jacked up four truck tractors, and removed tires and wheels worth $40,000, according to local reports.
The 40 tires and rims were taken during a break-in at the Hunter Keystone Peterbilt business. Police said when the thieves jacked up the trucks, they slid wooden posts under each end of the axles to keep the vehicles stable as they removed the tires.
The thieves cut a hole in the property’s fence big enough for a large vehicle to drive through, collect the tires and rims, and drive out, reports said. Police have no suspects at this time.
