Winners Named in Uniroyal Dealer Contest

Michelin North America’s Uniroyal brand announced the winners of its "Ticket to Travel" dealer contest.

The nine winners were the dealers showing the best growth in sales of Uniroyal brand tires during July and August, and those winners had a choice of either a cash reward or a, international vacation getaway.

The grand prize winners were Ron Burt of Burt Brothers Tire & Service, North Salt Lake, Utah; Mark Rhodes of Plaza Tire Service Inc., Cape Girardeau, Mo.; Doug Miller of St. Lucie Battery & Tire Co., Fort Pierce, Fla.; and Parham Parastaran of Car-X Tire and Auto, Champaign, Ill.

First place winners, who chose from vacation destinations within the continental U.S. or a cash prize, were Dominic Umek at Conrad’s Tire Service, Cleveland, Ohio; Tom Whalen at Whalen Tire, Butte, Mont.; Steve Shanley at American Tire & Auto Care, Green Brook, N.J.; Sandra Heslep at Vaughn Tire Co., Jacksonville, Ark.; and Jim Moody at Moody’s Quality Recappers, Franklin, Tenn.

Ascot Supply Corporation, based in Newnan, Georgia, has selected Mark Paquette for the newly created position of vice president. In this position, Ascot Supply said Paquette will oversee the growth of the company's products, corporate profitability, manage marketing and advertising and assume many other responsibilities.

He will work under the direction of current President David Kessler and officially begin his new role on June 3. Paquette joined the tire and automotive industry in the early 1980s at his father's tire shop, and his contributions to Mohawk Rubber Sales were instrumental in the company's growth and eventual sale to Myers Tire Supply in 2021, according to Ascot Supply. Paquette eventually was given a promotion to the role of director of operations at Myers Tire Supply.
