But we suggest that you pay VERY CLOSE ATTENTION.
Michelin has created iPhone applications that put its Michelin Restaurant Guides on millions of Apple’s vaunted cell phone. Now users can buy ($6.99 in the states, 7.99 euros in Europe) Michelin Guides for New York City, San Francisco, Germany, Spain & Portugal, Italy and the United Kingdom.
The “app” enables iPhone users to easily and quickly “find a nearby restaurant and call for a reservation. Each listing comes with detailed information, including address, phone number, opening hours, awards and Michelin guide comments. Users can also upload and share their opinion of the restaurant, by rating such features as ‘quality products,’ ‘inexpensive,’ ‘good value for money’ and ‘friendly welcome.’
Why is this important to you?
How long do you think it will take Michelin or any tiremaker for that matter create and launch a similar app for tire dealers?
