Vee Rubber has had a long period of sustained growth in the last two decades, and is now the employer of over 4,000 at its three large manufacturing facilities on the outskirts of Bangkok.
Combined production now exceeds 25 million tires per annum, about half of which is now exported through branch offices throughout Asia, Western Europe, U.S., Canada and Latin America.
Formed in 1977, initially as a producer of bicycle and motorcycle tires and tubes, by Vitorn Sukanjanapong, the CEO and managing director spoke to Tyres & Accessories about the extension of the size range Vee now produces, as well as the different segments it now covers.
“Technology and process spin offs are beginning to impact upon all areas of group design and implementation, as witnessed by the introduction of the ‘Monster’ series motorcycle custom tires, these being the largest motorcycle tires internationally available,” he said. “Recently we expanded our product line with the introduction of SUV, a new range of commercial tires and the ongoing development of our successful winter tires. The size range has also increased across our complete tire portfolio.
“While exports, especially those to the U.S., continue to rise to the point now where more than 50% of our total production is sold overseas, sales in the domestic market remain as strong as ever,” he continued. “The Vee Rubber Group is firmly committed to the continuous development of its manufacturing efficiency and quality.” (Tyres & Accessories)
