Uniroyal Rolls out Gift Card, Soccer Giveaways

To continue its commitment to helping consumers save money, Uniroyal Tire said it is offering two year-long giveaways. The $100 Uniroyal Tire Gift Card Giveaway will award 12 monthly winners with a $100 Visa gift card. Uniroyal’s Soccer Ball-A-Day Giveaway gives participants a chance to win a Uniroyal soccer ball every day in 2010.

“Providing increased value for our consumers is important to Uniroyal,” said Ashley Ramos, communications manager. “Consumers are still facing tough times and we want to help them out. One hundred dollars can go a long way in a family’s monthly budget and a free soccer ball keeps money in each winner’s wallet.”

Winners for the gift card will be drawn around the 15th of each month and entries must be completed by midnight the day before the drawing to be considered eligible. For both giveaways, there is no purchase necessary, limit one winner, per household, per year.

Uniroyal also will continue to support soccer families with a new sweepstakes beginning in July. The Uniroyal Soccer Ball Design Challenge will give soccer fans and players the opportunity to become the official designer of the Uniroyal soccer ball for the 2011 season. Ascot Supply Corporation, based in Newnan, Georgia, has selected Mark Paquette for the newly created position of vice president. In this position, Ascot Supply said Paquette will oversee the growth of the company's products, corporate profitability, manage marketing and advertising and assume many other responsibilities.

He will work under the direction of current President David Kessler and officially begin his new role on June 3. Paquette joined the tire and automotive industry in the early 1980s at his father's tire shop, and his contributions to Mohawk Rubber Sales were instrumental in the company's growth and eventual sale to Myers Tire Supply in 2021, according to Ascot Supply. Paquette eventually was given a promotion to the role of director of operations at Myers Tire Supply.
