Uniroyal Tire has rewarded Melissa Broome, of Tecumseh, Neb., with a “Soccer Season Survival Grand Prize Package” as part of the company’s Soccer Ball-A-Day Giveaway.
Broome and her family received the following prizes: a set of Uniroyal tires, $1,000 check, $500 gas card, camera/video recorder, car service for the season, GPS, car detailing, cooler/chair package, $500 sporting goods gift card, $250 parents’ night out gift card, and a $250 snack/food gift card.
The Broomes were picked out of thousands of entrants across the U.S. The sweepstakes was part of the 10th anniversary celebration of the Uniroyal Soccer Program, which donates funds and equipment to youth soccer leagues across the country. To date, the program has donated nearly $12 million in funds and equipment, including nearly one million soccer balls, to young soccer players and the communities that support them, according to the company.
“Since its founding, the Uniroyal Soccer Program’s aim has been to make a difference in local soccer communities,” said Ashley Ramos, Uniroyal communications manager. “The soccer sweepstakes is another way we can reach out to soccer families and help make players’ and their parents’ games a little more fun.”
This year Uniroyal will continue to support soccer families with a new sweepstakes, the Uniroyal Soccer Ball Design Challenge. Soccer fans and players will have the opportunity to become the official designer of the Uniroyal soccer ball for the 2011 season. Interested participants should visit www.UniroyalTires.com/sweeps beginning Aug. 1 for details about this year’s contest.
