Two Wisconsin men have been arrested for stealing and trying to sell school bus tires.
One of the men is a school bus mechanic at Johnson Bus Co., in Plymouth, Wisc., near Sheboygan, and allegedly stole 12 medium truck tires. His partner apparently transported the stolen tires in his pickup.
The men were apprehended after managers of two area trucking companies became suspicious when one of the men tried to sell them new medium truck tires at discounted prices. They called authorities, who investigated the men.
It was apparently easy to find one man, the bus mechanic, because he filled out a job application at one trucking firm while he was trying to sell the tires.
