Two thieves broke into Glen’s Tire in West Valley City, Utah, stealing a safe filled with thousands in cash.
The store’s video camera system documented a white delivery truck baking up to a side window on Feb. 23. In the video, one suspect went for the safe, which was bolted to the ground. According to authorities, the truck left, but the two suspects returned an hour later with a crowbar to pry the safe loose.
According to local media reports, the store’s owner doesn’t believe the break-in was random. He noted the thieves used the only window that doesn’t have a beacon or laser to trip an alarm and that the thieves knew the location of the safe.
Police are investigating the incident, but the owner is hoping someone will recognize the two suspects or truck from security footage at the shop.
Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact West Valley City Police Department at 801- 963-3300.
