TIA Joins Ebay for New Tire Portal, Member Contact Area

(Akron/Tire Review) TIA Struck a deal with online mega-selling eBay that will incorporate TIA member information into eBay’s vehicle and vehicle part area.

Announced during last week’s SEMA Show, the deal will incorporate TIA member contact information into the tire portal on eBay Motors. The network will feature all TIA members and designate those who have certified automotive and commercial tire service technicians.

When an eBay Motors customer purchases a tire or wheel-related product, they will be notified that a local TIA tire installer can be found via the eBay Motors tire portal, TIA said. And TIA members will have the opportunity to feature their own business on eBay Motors, the largest online market place for automotive parts and accessories.

In addition, TIA plans to provide eBay Motors with content for its Web site to help educate consumers on tire and wheel products.

The eBay Motors tire portal is expected to be fully functioning in 2008.
