Sullivan Tire & Auto Service has launched a new promotion called "The Ultimate Baseball Showdown," which gives Boston Red Sox fans the opportunity to challenge a couple of Red Sox stars.
Viewers tuning into Red Sox baseball on the New England Sports Network will see Jon Lester and Dustin Pedroia in a Sullivan Tire commercial spot, which involves the pair getting into a pitching and hitting duel. Viewers are prompted to log on to Sullivan Tire’s website to submit their guess as to the result of the at-bat between the two teammates.
All participants who enter contest are eligible to win one of two grand prizes: joining Pedroia and Lester at Fenway Park on Aug. 30, where they will have the opportunity to take their swings against the pitcher and try to strike out the hit against Jon Lester or pitch against the second baseman.
“We are very excited to be able to utilize our relationship with Dustin and Jon to launch this contest for Red Sox fans,” said Paul Sullivan, vice president of marketing for Sullivan Tire. “We hope fans in New England enjoy our commercials, and enter the contest for their chance at meeting the players.”
Supporting the contest is Sullivan Tire’s recently launched, newly redesigned website, which features live chat support with automotive experts, tire prices and price comparison, special promotions, contests, and celebrity blogs.
“This contest launch is intended to be a fun way to help introduce our customers and potential customers to our new website,” said Mark Gillard, advertising manager for Sullivan Tire. “The website is a totally new way to research and understand taking care of your car, and allows our customers to really be involved in the process of automotive care.”
