Hunter Engineering has released the DSP7705, a new "economy" level tire/wheel balancer designed, said the company, for "ease of service and provide fast, accurate results."
Hunter said the DSP7705 handles a wide range of wheels up to 44 inches in diameter and 20 inches in width. The motor can spin assembles up to 150 lbs. repeatedly without overheating.
The intuitive display uses easy-to-understand graphics and controls to help operators enter wheel dimensions, determine the best weight placement, and navigate through balancing procedures, Hunter said. The built-in Dataset arm assists with automatic direct measurement of wheel dimensions when using tape weights, eliminating manual data entry errors.
The DSP7705 also includes Hunter’s patented Servo Stop, which automatically positions wheels at the top-dead-center weight location; Split Spoke, which automatically locates the best out-of-sight position for adhesive weights; Split Weight, which splits the weight reading into two weights and relocates them on the wheel to help reduce weight inventories and avoid trim ring obstructions; CenterCheck, which verifies proper centering of the wheel; and Quick Cal-Check to confirm calibration, Hunter said.
