Pirelli Sponsors Mini Cross Country Rally

Pirelli Tire North America has been named an official silver sponsor of “Mini Takes the States,” a Mini USA cross country event that begins at the Atlanta Motor Speedway on July 9.

During the rally, Mini owners drive through 15 cities, starting in Atlanta, Ga., and finishing in Palm Springs, Calif., at the Thermal Club motorsports complex.

“We are proud to support Mini USA for this exciting event – it marks the beginning of a strengthened partnership between Pirelli and Mini. We work closely together to produce star marked tires approved specifically for their vehicles – providing the ultimate driving experience possible for Mini drivers,” said Rafael Navarro, senior vice president of media relations, motorsports and prestige activation for Pirelli.

“This dedication represents our wider ‘perfect fit’ brand strategy to connect and service our valued OEM partners like Mini. Both Mini and Pirelli share a love of driving and passion for cars, and we look forward to participating in this exciting event,” he adds.

As part of the sponsorship, participants will have the opportunity to win a set of Mini spec, star marked Pirelli tires, the tiremaker said. Additionally, Pirelli representatives will drive a Pirelli-branded Mini along the course to help answer questions and provide support.
