The nine section, self-certification training program covers “all aspects of the tire business,” according to Pirelli.
The tiremaker said the online training module was “designed from scratch using state-of-the-art techniques,” and that the training program is “easy to use with its simple navigation and ultra-clear images. Only basic computer skills are required to use the program, which Pirelli hopes will enable all tire technicians selling and fitting Pirelli tires to participate in the training process.”
In addition to product information, the training program has chapters on tire marking and sizing, speed ratings, tire components, manufacturing technology and tire maintenance, and has units on customer service and selling techniques.
As part of the same program, Pirelli has a separate “advanced training” module that features specialized training on run-flat tires.
