Pioneer officials said the new Tire Stop program offers members an exclusive road hazard warranty on selected products free of charge, co-op opportunities on all purchases, preferred pricing on selected products and an earned annual volume bonus on total purchases.
“Tire Stop enables dealers to focus on the daily functions of running their business without the worry of support from their suppliers and service after the sale,” said Jay Postlethwait, Pioneer’s sales manager. “With the changes in the local market in 2006, this type of marketing is in demand, and we intend to aggressively develop and grow this program.”
Pioneer, which was founded in 1980, said it has signed up nearly 20 dealers so far, and has commitments from others. The program officially launched Jan. 1.
In October 2006, Pioneer opened a new 120,000-square-foot warehouse in Benicia, Calif., which replaced a 85,000-square-foot facility there.
“We are growing our business and as such, we outgrew our old location. By investing in a new facility, we will now able to service our valued customers in a much more efficient manner as we continue to grow,” said Pioneer president George Bohorquez.
