Philadelphia-based Allen Rubber recently celebrated 30 years in business.
The company, a distributor and retailer of BF Goodrich, Michelin, Nexen, Toyo and Yokohama tire lines, has four locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
According to the company’s website, more than 80 years ago, brothers Allan, Albert and Jerry Solomon opened a small tire shop on Broad Street in Philadelphia. At the time, the Solomons sold retread and new tires to an ever-growing driving public. Craig Myers bought the company then called Allen Rubber on March 1, 1982.
“We believe that our success is based on service, integrity, and maintaining the reputation that has been built over the last 80 years,” the website states.
