Nexen Tire America Inc., Pirelli Tire North America and Kumho Tire USA are the latest in a string of tire companies that announced they will increase prices in coming months.
Effective June 1, Nexen will apply an 8% price increase on all warehouse orders and June factory direct container production. The increase will apply to all sizes and patterns of passenger and light truck tires.
Also effective June 1, Kumho will raise prices on all passenger and light truck tires up to 8% with additional inline adjustments.
Pirelli will increase prices 4% on all replacement passenger and light truck tires sold in the U.S., effective July 1.
Each of the companies cited rising raw material costs in the price increases.
