The announcement was made atTIA’s annual membership meeting yesterday at Planet Hollywood Resort &Casino in Las Vegas.
This year’s winners were:
Aloiya Earl of Lambertville,Mich., won the top $2,500 annual scholarship. Aloiya was nominated by herstepfather, James Muncy of A.T.I. Warehouse and is using the scholarship at theUniversity of South Carolina.
Michael Bates of Salisbury,N.C., won a $1,250 annual scholarship. His mother, Angelia Bates of RDH Tire& Retread Co., nominated him for the scholarship, which he will be using atCatawba College.
John Gruninger of Magrath,Alb., also won a $1,250 annual scholarship. He was nominated by his father, RichardGruninger of Mo Tires and is attending Brigham Young University.
The Michelin/TIA Scholarshipprogram is open to part-time employees or dependents of full-time employees ofTIA member organizations who are pursuing a post-secondary education. (Tire Review/Akron)
