Michelin Adds Vette Tire

The new tire is now available for the Corvette C5, C6, C6 Z06 and ZR1.

MNA said the UHP summer tire “evolved” from the Z-rated Pilot Sport PS2 family with the addition of run-flat capability. The tire features an asymmetric tread pattern, a customized tread compound, large outer shoulder blocks and continuous ribs for enhance steering response and cornering stability, and wide circumferential grooves and lateral notches to combat aquaplaning.

The tire is available in sizes P245/45ZR17 95Y and P275/40ZR18 99Y for the Corvette C5; sizes P245/40ZR18 93Y and P285/35ZR19 99Y for the Corvette C6; sizes P275/35ZR18 87Y and P325/30ZR19 94Y for the Corvette C6 Z06 (available Aug. 1); and sizes P285/30ZR19 87Y and P335/25ZR20 94Y for the Corvette ZR1. Ascot Supply Corporation, based in Newnan, Georgia, has selected Mark Paquette for the newly created position of vice president. In this position, Ascot Supply said Paquette will oversee the growth of the company's products, corporate profitability, manage marketing and advertising and assume many other responsibilities.

He will work under the direction of current President David Kessler and officially begin his new role on June 3. Paquette joined the tire and automotive industry in the early 1980s at his father's tire shop, and his contributions to Mohawk Rubber Sales were instrumental in the company's growth and eventual sale to Myers Tire Supply in 2021, according to Ascot Supply. Paquette eventually was given a promotion to the role of director of operations at Myers Tire Supply.
