Maxxis Hits Skid-Steer Market

Maxxis has two industrial tires that it says are “highly versatile” offerings, giving the company the ability to “make its name” in the market.

The M9000 MT Loader and the M8000 Tuff-Guard skid-steer tires are designed to tackle a wide range of heavy-duty industrial applications, including construction, agriculture and dockside freight safely and efficiently, Maxxis states.

“A specially formulated durable rubber compound, extra strong casings and robust sidewalls ensure that our skid-steer tires deliver superior traction and long life when put to work in the most demanding industrial applications,” says Maxxis International UK’s managing director Derek McMartin.

Designed for use on heavyweight forklift trucks, the M9000 MT Loader has an “extra-thick sidewall to improve puncture resistance, while a special rim guard improves tire and wheel protection. The M9000 MT Loader is available in a range of sizes from 10-16.5 8 PR to 15-19.5 12 PR.

Available in a full range of sizes up to 12.00-20 the M8000 Tuff-Guard is designed for a variety of extra heavy-duty applications, including excavation. Its durable tread compound aims to provide superior stability and help resist chunking and separation, but also adds counterbalancing weight to skid loader machines. The double sidewall is designed to improve stability and reduce bounce, while the step-down, self-cleaning tread increases traction. A reinforced rim guard improves tire and wheel protection, which, in turn, helps to extend wheel life.

“The range is highly versatile and is proving popular with heavy industry, particularly dockside freight businesses, and as a result we are making our name in this niche marketplace,” McMartin concludes. (Tyres & Accessories)
