Maxxis Fleet Tests Continue

(Staffordshire, U.K./Tyres & Accessories) Maxxis is continuing to put its 22.5-inch truck tyres through a rigorous testing programme, working with a number of leading U.K. fleets to establish performance and PPK (pence per kilometre) figures and casing value.

“We’re another year down the line with our road tests and the results to date have been extremely positive, exceeding our expectations in a number of areas,” says Maxxis International UK’s managing director Derek McMartin.

“When we launch the full range, Maxxis truck tyres will compare favourably with the current market leaders by offering operators quality, reliability and value for money, and we should be able to report more in the not too distant future.”

The Maxxis range of 22.5-inch tyres is available in steer, drive and trailer applications in sizes 10R22.5, 11R22.5, 12R22.5, 275/80R22.5, 295/80R22.5, 315/80R22.5 and 385/65R22.5.

Meanwhile, Maxxis is continuing to build sales of its van and light truck tyres as the UR-275 – which is available in 215/75R17.5PR to 245/70R19.5 sizes – makes its mark. Maxxis van and light truck tyres are said to deliver durability and superb handling in all conditions thanks to their double high tensile strength steel belt construction. They also feature continuous shoulder ribs for long life and uniformity, while Maxxis uses a premium rubber compound and builds in extra plies to combat punctures and abrasion.

For year-round reliability, Maxxis said truck operators can turn to the Maxxis UE-168, an R-speed rated tyre with a 70-80 profile available in a 12- to 16-inch size range. A jointless spiral-wrapped full nylon cap gives extra strength and stability.

Maxxis said its UE-103 is a practical solution for everyday use. Its rugged tread compound formulation resists abrasion, while the rib tread design ensures stability – especially during motorway driving – and disperses water with ease. This pattern is available in a wide range of sizes, including 195/65R, 205/65R, 225/65R and 205/65R, and with an R-, T- and H-speed rating.

The MA-751 Bravo features an extra heavy-duty sidewall for optimum traction on all terrains for sports truck/pick-up/4×4 operators. It comes in 13- to 16-inch sizes. Maxxis van and light truck tyres are available exclusively from Group Tyre UK Ltd.
