Live at SEMA: New Steel Weight Line from Perfect Equipment

Perfect Equipment announced the addition of the new P-value lineup of steel clip-on wheel weights.

Featuring a five-year corrosion resistance coating, an OE manufacturer approved clip design and a lower cost per unit, Perfect Equipment said this line of products is “perfectly positioned for the price conscious buyer.”

The P-value series is available in all eight standard clip styles with ounce increments from 0.25 oz. to 3 oz. and gram increments from 5g to 60g.

“Our customers demand options and we are pleased to provide them,” said Jeff Waechter, President and CEO. “As more businesses in the marketplace turn away from lead, we are positioning ourselves to be able to provide a multitude of non-lead options for them to choose from. We can provide OE manufacturer quality zinc and steel weights for the buyer that is looking to match the OE tolerances as best as they can, as well as provide weights for the aftermarket that are geared more towards the price conscious customer.”

TPMS technology hasn’t changed much over the years. You might think, “But that’s a good thing, right? Don’t we want a consistent technology that can be fixed easily?” You may be on to something there, but TPMS technology currently relies on radio waves to transmit data. That means the radio spectrum the sensors use can be “noisy” with other nearby devices potentially causing interference with the sensor. It’s like someone interrupting you mid-sentence. Bluetooth sensors may be the answer to these radio-wave issues.
