A father and son robbery team was busted after allegedly robbing a Phenix City, Ala., tire store on May 14.
The 49-year-old father and 26-year-old son, armed with a gun and baseball bat, were said to have robbed the 14th Street Tire Shop in Phenix City, and then fled across the state border to Columbus, Ga., where they were arrested.
The pair were extradited to Alabama on May 15.
Police officers saw the men in a vehicle leaving a tire store that had reported the robbery, in which an employee was struck with a bat by one robber while the other had a gun. After a short chase, police arrested the pair, and found the gun and bat in their vehicle.
The employee was treated for a head injury, and later released from the hospital.
