Yokohama Tire Corp. announced promotions for eight people last week, including two top executives.
Dan King, who had been vice president of sales and marketing, was promoted to senior vice president of sales and marketing. Thomas Masuguchi was promoted from controller to vice president and controller.
“Dan has been highly instrumental in securing strong performances for Yokohama, including a record year in 2010,” said Takao Oishi, Yokohama president and CEO. “This promotion reflects Dan’s continued high level of performance, as well as his expanded role since the retirement of Jim MacMaster last year.”
MacMaster was a long-time top executive with Yokohama, and retired last year as executive vice president and COO. His position has not been directly filled.
Other Yokohama promotions included:
John Cooney, from director of commercial sales to director of export.
Rick Phillips, from manager of commercial sales to director of commercial sales.
Minoru (Mike) Nakayama, to chief advisor, corporate strategy and product planning.
Alan Easome, from manager of supply chain planning to director of supply chain planning.
Percy Cottle, from district sales manager for export to zone manager for export.
Andrew Briggs, from account manager to senior manager of motorsports.
