Kenda USA has launched its first eco-friendly tire – the VezdaEco.
The tire is available in 25 sizes ranging over 15- to 20-inch wheel sizes, and carries a 60,000-mile limited warranty. The VezdaEco, according to Kenda, delivers "improved rolling resistance, shorter braking distances, and reduced noise."
"We’re really excited about all the new technology the tire contains and our customers who have already purchased the tire have also seen the benefits," Eric Yang, Kenda’s automotive marketing manager, said. "The size range and higher speed rating separates the VezdaEco from our competitor’s lower rolling resistance tires. With all the features we have developed, we feel the VezdaEco is one of the best values in the market."
Kenda claims that the “VezdaEco reduces CO2 emission by as much as 32g/mi with its unique material technology which stands for a total reduction of about six tons of CO2 throughout a vehicle’s lifecycle. Six tons of CO2 is equivalent to the CO2 absorption by 500 trees a year.”
