Goodyear chief Bob Keegan, speaking at the recent Tire Science and Technology Conference in Akron, revealed that the tiremaker has changed the name of its technical centers in Akron and Luxembourg.
They are now called Goodyear Innovation Centers, in keeping, Keegan said, with Goodyear’s drive to be an innovation leader in the global tire industry.
Additionally, Goodyear is in talks with the City of Akron to change the name of the section of East Market Street that runs by its world headquarters to Innovation Way.
”That may seem like simple semantics to you, but that’s very important to us,” Keegan said. ”We’re 100% committed to innovation, and to me, innovation is now part of our DNA.”
