Informational Website Seeks Repair Pro Input

Know Your Parts, the industry awareness campaign initiated by the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA), launched a new informational website for repair professionals at knowyourparts.com.

To kick things off, AASA is holding a drawing for a $500 Snap-on gift card for one aftermarket "end-user" who submits suggestions at the site.

“Through the Know Your Parts website, we will supply technicians and shop owners with the parts information they need and want, direct from the manufacturers,” said Steve Handschuh, AASA president and COO. “Our site will bring together these skilled professionals with the quality parts manufacturers to exchange vital information on the parts needed to get the job done right.”

Currently, AASA is soliciting information from repair professionals about the parts information that is most valuable to them in their businesses, including parts categories and the most useful format for the information: videos, photos/illustrations/diagrams, technical guides or Webinars. The Know Your Parts website will be updated continually with parts information in the formats that repair professionals request.

“As thanks for assisting us with this endeavor, the first 150 repair professionals who submit their feedback at knowyourparts.com will receive a $10 Snap-on gift card,” said Jack Cameron, AASA vice president. “A drawing will be held of participants who submit information by July 31, for a $500 Snap-on gift card.”

Ascot Supply Corporation, based in Newnan, Georgia, has selected Mark Paquette for the newly created position of vice president. In this position, Ascot Supply said Paquette will oversee the growth of the company's products, corporate profitability, manage marketing and advertising and assume many other responsibilities.

He will work under the direction of current President David Kessler and officially begin his new role on June 3. Paquette joined the tire and automotive industry in the early 1980s at his father's tire shop, and his contributions to Mohawk Rubber Sales were instrumental in the company's growth and eventual sale to Myers Tire Supply in 2021, according to Ascot Supply. Paquette eventually was given a promotion to the role of director of operations at Myers Tire Supply.
