Hercules Tire & Rubber Co.’s Ironman brand now includes medium truck tires.

With one of the best cost per mile averages in the industry, the Ironman brand I-Series medium truck tires are a strong new option for independent tire dealers and their customers, Cooper said.

The I-Series line offers more than 30 SKUs comprised of highway, open shoulder drive, closed shoulder drive, mixed service and trailer options, with select patterns are SmartWay verified.

The I-Series lineup features the following tires:

I-601: This premium regional all-position tire is for both steer and trailer applications and features anti-slip properties for traction and directional stability. The I-601 is fuel-efficient and is EPA SmartWay verified.

I-208: This closed shoulder tire for drive axle applications features a solid shoulder that provides stability and resistance to irregular wear. The fuel-efficient I-208 is EPA SmartWay.

I-460: The 1-460 is a trailer tire for long or short hauls. It is designed with sipes to provide better traction and drainage and is SmartWay verified.

I-109: The I-90 is a regional all-position rib tire for both steer and trailer applications. The tire features a five-rib design for long mileage and shoulder wear resistance on steer axle use.

 I-370: This open shoulder drive tire features deep tread with tough, siped blocks for increased mileage and traction under all weather conditions.

I-604: The I-604 shoulder drive tire has a specially compounded tread to enhance life. The tire also features large, aggressive lugs for traction under all conditions and siping for better water traction and decreased heel to toe wear.

I-181: This all-position rib tire is largely used for trailer applications. The I-181 has a five-rib design to deliver long mileage and shoulder wear resistance on steer axle use. It also has microsipes that fight onset of irregular wear and provide better mileage.

 I-301: This highway mixed service chip and cut tire features special tread and sidewall compounding to resist chips, cuts and tears and protect against scuffing and impact.

Hercules is pursuing SmartWay verification for additional Ironman I-Series patterns. Ironman brand medium truck tires have a limited warranty against defects in workmanship or material for five years from the date of purchase and carry a casing warranty for one retread.
