Goodyear announced that it will re-name its truck stop-based commercial centers, badging them as Wingfoot Truck Care Centers.
The tiremaker’s Wingfoot Commercial Tire Systems unit operates 31 commercial truck service locations adjacent to Pilot Travel Centers, with the outlets previously known as Pilot Truck Care Centers.
In addition, Goodyear said it will build 10 new Wingfoot Truck Care Centers, increasing its truck stop-based network to 41 locations.
“By unifying the planned new locations with the existing network under our Wingfoot Truck Care Center banner, we’re bringing to customers the same services they’ve come to expect from Wingfoot,” said Mark Totten, Wingfoot’s vice president of marketing.
“In addition to offering a full line of products under the Goodyear, Dunlop and Kelly tire brands, Wingfoot Truck Care Centers have Tire Industry Association-trained and Automotive Service Excellence-certified technicians, and offer a full line of services, such as air conditioning checks/repairs, driveline and suspension inspections, and brake and air system repair. We also work on exhaust systems and wiring, plus we can conduct DOT inspections.”
All locations under the Wingfoot brand umbrella are part of Goodyear’s fleetHQ servicing network.
