Directorate Changes At Dunlop

(Douglasdale, South Africa/S.A. Treads) Following the acquisition of Dunlop Tyres International (Pty) Ltd. (Dunlop) by Indian company Apollo Tyres Ltd., in April 2006, the company has announced a major re-organisation of its directorate.

Mike Hankinson has been appointed to the board of Apollo Tyres in Mumbai, with effect Jan. 25. He relinquishes his role as CEO of Dunlop, which he has held for the past 10 years, and becomes non-executive deputy chairman of Dunlop.

Pierre Dreyer becomes a non-executive director of Dunlop and will pursue the group’s growth in the international tyre market.

With immediate effect, Dr. Luis Ceneviz will take over as the new CEO of Dunlop after having served 28 years with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. Ceneviz was chief executive of South Pacific Tyres in Australia and New Zealand until 2005. He was also chairman and managing director of Goodyear India Ltd. from 2000 to 2002.
